The Good Spice cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We will never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

The effective date for the validity of these terms is 29/11/2022; with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. WooCommerce

Our web store is developed with WooCommerce software. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. WooCommerce has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. WooCommerce is obligated, based on the agreement we have with them, to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. WooCommerce uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored. WooCommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve the services.

WooCommerce hosting

Our web store is developed with WooCommerce software, and we have chosen Data 1 for our web hosting. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. AndersData 1 has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. AndersData 1 is obligated, based on the agreement we have with them, to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent data loss.

Email and mailing lists

Mailerlite

Our website uses Mailerlite, a third party that handles the sending of newsletters. You will only be added to the mailing list if you subscribe to it via our website or tick this option when checking out your order. You will then receive a double opt-in email to confirm that you actually want to be on the mailing list. Mailerlite will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every automatically sent email, you will see an 'unsubscribe' link. If you click on this, you will no longer receive emails from Mailerlite. Your personal data is securely stored by Mailerlite. Mailerlite uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. Mailerlite reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share information with third parties in that context.

Gmail

We use Gmail services for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Gmail does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

  

Media and contact forms

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Mollie

For the processing of (part of) the payments in our web store, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and residence details, as well as your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in that context, to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. De Groene Rijders

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of De Groene Rijders for carrying out deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address, and residence details with De Groene Rijders. De Groene Rijders uses this data solely for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. In the event that De Groene Rijders engages subcontractors, De Groene Rijders will also make your data available to these parties.

MoneyBird

For keeping track of our administration and accounting, we use the services of MoneyBird. We share your name, address, and residence details, as well as details related to your order. This data is used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely; MoneyBird has taken the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use. MoneyBird is bound by confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. MoneyBird does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

We exclusively use your data for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you later – other than at your request – we will explicitly ask for your permission. These third parties are all bound by confidentiality based on the agreement between them and us, or by an oath or legal obligation.

In some cases, The Good Spice may be obligated by law to share your data in connection with fiscal or criminal investigations by government authorities. In such a case, we are compelled to share your data, but we will resist this within the possibilities afforded by law.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are our client. This means that we keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you notify us of this, we will also interpret it as a request for erasure. This also means that we do not retain your data for longer than two years from the last contact moment or transaction, unless there is a legal justification for doing so. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices with your (personal) data, so we will store this data for as long as the applicable period lasts. However, employees will no longer have access to your client profile and documents we have produced based on your assignment.

Below we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies of your data to the email address already known to us. We maintain a record of handled requests; in the case of a request for erasure, we log anonymized data. You will receive all copies of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

In such a case, we will most likely no longer be able to continue providing services, as the secure linking of databases can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of The Good Spice. If you object, we will immediately cease data processing pending the resolution of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will provide you with copies of the data we process (or have processed) and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. Cookies from the American company Google are placed via our website as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the website. This processor may be obliged, based on applicable laws and regulations, to provide insight into this data. We collect information about your browsing behavior and share this data with Google.
